David Cameron says he wants British Asian Prime Minister thank you please

David Cameron has said he wants to see a British Asian Prime Minister in his lifetime.
Mr Cameron made the remarks at an awards dinner in central London where Sajid Javid, the Culture secretary who is widely tipped as his successor, topped a power list of the most influential Asians in the UK.
Mr Cameron told the GG2 Leadership Awards: "Let us think big about what Britons of all backgrounds can achieve.
"When I hear 'sir', 'your honour' or 'right honourable', I want them to be followed by a British Asian name."
To cheers he added: "One day I want to hear that title 'Prime Minister' followed by a British Asian name."
Earlier Mr Cameron had described Mr Javid, who was in the audience, as "brilliant" during his 10 minute speech, which celebrates achievement among Britain's Asian community.
He said he was "incredibly proud" of Mr Javid "the brilliant Asian man who I asked to join the Cabinet", adding: "Doesn't it say something that in two generations you can go from coming to our country with so little to sitting around the Cabinet table. That is the sort of country we are building in the United Kingdom."

A8games, agree about the cutting back. But it is the rate at which we cut back that will be at issue. Couple that with the need to stimulate business/industry and a fine balance is needed because too much hard cutting will tend to throttle things.
WRT Chukka Umana the fact is that, if within an established party, a politician has to follow the party line. Portillo said that it took him two years out of politics before he could give an honest answer without pause.

Chuka Umunna is a very bright, hardworking and pleasant guy who I've met a few times in his early days in Streatham.
However like most politicians as he has been promoted in the party his views appear have been watered down to be the 'party' line on everything.
When I see him on TV the young guy passionate about making things better seems to have turned into a labour robot repeating the same as every other MP.

I think you deliberately took my post the wrong way.
What I was trying to say is that the next government will be deeply unpopular because it's going to have to make more cuts. I have been critical for a long time of politicians not being honest enough with the electorate about the cuts that need to be made.
If that makes me desicibple so be it but I happen to think the public aren't idiots and deserve the truth.
I also said "without action on immigration and the issues the public care about the governments going to be polling at 20%"
That means that I believe we should have action on immigration and the issues the public care about and that if the next government ignores the will of people they deserve what's coming to them.
Anyway feel free to miss the point.
And you know NOTHING about what I have done in life. You've just assumed

Something we all know, politicians and the political class are more concerned by what they are polling that bringing forward a fresh agenda for the country.

Lloyd George, Joseph Chamberlain, Winston Churchill, Harold Wilson, none of them needed cunts like you to warm about what they will be polling and arranging their media training so when asked a DIRECT, CLOSED question always start by answering "well, I think it's more important to...."

I'm starting to suspect that the senior members of all the main parties believe that the next term of government will be the mother of all clusterfucks on an uncountable number of fronts and as such would rather spend that time in opposition (but - shhhh! The news about the queen wasn't kept out of the news but do you think it's really a good idea to give these terrorists extra publicly? They thrive on fear and they want people to glamourise them.
There's multiple threats to the queen and prime minister every year. There's multiple terror plots each and every year. Giving everyone a running commentary on every single nut job who wants to kill people will affect security operations.
It is far better for the police and security services to be left with getting in their job and actually foil the plots than spending their whole time doing interviews and updating on social media just so people like you can say " see look at them Muslims"

The riots just showed what absolute cowards our Police are these days.
Happily steam into people at football with batons and horses etc but shit it from a load of teenagers.

After8 do you recall the street riots a few years ago all over the country? The servies were totally underprepared and in capable of dealing with it effectively. You dont think this kind of thing can happen again if there is not a big big hit on UK or another soldier murdered on homeland or a royal family member targeted?
those riots were a example of civil unrest and there was no real warning, it kicked off the day that guy was shot and the unpreparedness of the country was why the riots went on as long as they did.

I would speculate that if there is an Asia PM, he/she would more likely be a Hindu / Sikh before a Muslim candidate...and would probably have to convert to Christianity. (Which a muslim candidate would struggle to do and still be accepted in their community) to get the top spot..This is just based on what you're seeing in US politics as a comparison..
